Solar PV Installer

Full-time · Roof crew

Solar PV Installers are the core of the roof crew. You'll mount racking, set modules and land flashing that stays leak-free through hurricane season, on residential and commercial roofs across Florida. The company is Coastal Energy Solutions, Inc. — a veteran and women owned Florida energy company operating since 2019 with solar, roofing, electrical and HVAC trades under one roof, serving the whole state from offices in Fort Myers, Naples and Miami.

What you'll do

Assemble and mount roof racking, modules and rapid-shutdown hardware to plan
Install flashing and roof penetrations that hold the 5-year workmanship and leak standard
Assist with panel, inverter and conduit runs alongside the electrical crew
Keep job sites safe, staged and clean; flag roof damage or structural concerns to the foreman

What we're looking for

Comfortable with ladder and roof work in Florida heat
Able to lift 50+ lb and work at height with fall protection
Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
Construction or roofing experience preferred; solar experience a plus; OSHA 10 preferred
Work authorization and ability to pass a background check

Solar Electrician (Journeyman)

Full-time · Electrical crew

Lead the electrical scope of solar and storage installs: DC source circuits, inverter and Gateway commissioning, battery systems (Tesla Powerwall, PWRcell), rapid shutdown and interconnection paperwork. You'll work under the company's Florida Certified Electrical Contractor (EC13013993) as part of a licensed crew covering the whole state from Fort Myers, Naples and Miami. Coastal Energy Solutions, Inc. has operated in Florida since 2019 and pairs solar with roofing, electrical and HVAC trades.

What you'll do

Pull wire, land terminations and commission inverters, batteries and Gateways
Complete interconnection and permitting documentation with the office team
Diagnose electrical faults on service calls, including systems installed by others
Mentor apprentices and enforce NEC and jobsite safety standards

What we're looking for

Journeyman-level electrical experience (license a plus); solar/storage experience preferred
Familiar with NEC 690/705 and rapid shutdown requirements
Valid Florida driver's license; able to pass a background check
Comfortable mentoring apprentices and working in attics and on roofs

Electrical Apprentice

Roofing Technician (Metal)

Roofing Technicians install and repair standing seam and 5V metal roofs (tile assist as quoted) for homes and businesses, working under the company's Florida Certified Roofing Contractor (CCC1335978). Because roofing and solar share crews here, you'll also work around solar mounts and detach/reinstall scopes. What you'll do

Tear-off, dry-in and metal roof installation to spec and permit
Flashing detail and penetration work that holds the 5-year leak standard
Tile and underlayment assistance on quoted scopes
Solar detach/reinstall and roof-mount flashing work with the solar crew

What we're looking for

Metal roofing experience preferred; strong roofing fundamentals required
Comfortable on ladders and roofs in Florida heat; able to lift 50+ lb
Valid Florida driver's license; able to pass a background check

HVAC Technician

HVAC Technicians handle load-calculated equipment replacement, repair, preventive service and indoor air quality (filtration, UVC, whole-home dehumidification) for homes and businesses, including emergency no-cool/no-heat calls. Work runs under the company's Florida HVAC license (CAC1816094). What you'll do

Install and service AC and heat pump systems to load calculation, not rule of thumb
Run repair and preventive maintenance visits, documenting findings
Install IAQ accessories (filtration, UVC, dehumidification) and smart thermostats
Coordinate with the solar team on load-reduction projects

What we're looking for

EPA 608 certification required; Florida HVAC experience preferred
Valid Florida driver's license; able to pass a background check
Comfortable with attics, crawlspaces and Florida attics in August

Solar Service & Battery Technician

Service Technicians are the diagnostic brain of the company: production loss tracing, inverter and rapid-shutdown faults, battery and Gateway issues, monitoring recovery, storm inspections and takeover support for orphan systems installed by other contractors. Brands include Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge, Sol-Ark, SunnyBoy and SunPower. What you'll do

Diagnose production, inverter, battery and monitoring issues onsite and remotely
Perform written evaluations ($750 system evaluations) with clear findings
Execute battery/Gateway installs and expansions (Tesla Powerwall, PWRcell)
Support storm inspections, documentation and permit cleanup

What we're looking for

Solar/battery service experience strongly preferred; NABCEP or manufacturer training a plus
Comfortable with monitoring platforms and electrical troubleshooting
Valid Florida driver's license; able to pass a background check
